Lab Log #7

It’s been a while since I made a last update, here’s the catch up:

• HP ProLiant MicroServer Gen8 as lab host has been decommissioned from it’s former ESXi glory and became a primary file/VM storage host running TrueNAS ZFS filesystem.
• Synology DS216j has been replaced by more powerful unit DS220+ with expanded RAM. This NAS will be a primary backup destination for lab services as well as secondary application server (in Docker).
• Cisco MR-33 has been replaced with UAP-AC-Lite access point from Ubiquiti, controller is deployed with Docker image.
• Due to increased need of LAN ports Mikrotik RB260PG has been decommissioned and replaced with unmanaged PoE 1Gbps TP-Link switch (until I find a managed solution).

New addition is the HP Z420 with E5-2680 v2 and 64GB of RAM which is more than plenty for my current needs. It will be now a main ESXi host.
